Funko Poppy Li
/My daughter really loves the Apple TV+ show Mythic Quest. For her birthday, I customized a Funko Pop figurine to look like Poppy Li, a volatile, brilliant and sardonic Australian game engineer played by Charlotte Nicdao—and one who greatly needs her own Funko Pop.
That day is not today, however, so I found three inexpensive Funkos that I could Frankenstein together to make Poppy: The Baroness from GI Joe for the glasses, Mulan for the head, and Claire Dearing from Jurassic Park for the body. After some brute-force plastic surgery to the donors, I assembled Poppy and turned Claire’s hiking boots into Converse All-Stars and her shirt into Poppy’s comfy cardigan.
What do you mean I don’t have a Funko Pop?!
I re-created the box art, found a perfect game-style background online from Nimarra, created a 2D image of the finished product, printed it on card stock and glued it to one of the boxes.
